If you want to improve your health and fitness but are unsure how to start, pursue a partnership with Cherie Straus at ONE Fitness in Billings, Montana. I am a personal trainer dedicated to providing my clients with highly professional training.
I offer personal training by appointment in my private studio to help you achieve your goals without the distractions present in a large club. Group training classes are also available offering unique benefits. This past spring, I held a combination class called CheckPoints to Total Health which addresses emotional, mental and spiritual needs of clients in addition to physical training. This class will be offered again soon--in the Fall 2019. Over the summer, I held a Young Athletes Conditioning Camp that met twice a week. Campers worked to improve core stability, strength, speed and agility. They also discussed topics such as team play, developing GRIT, and how to impress their coaches. Whether your goals are to improve body composition, manage weight, increase cardiovascular endurance and muscular strength, or improve flexibly, your program will be individually designed. |
BIO
I have owned ONE Fitness for about 12 years and have been instructing group fitness for about 20 years. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Montana Tech, Butte and am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. I am currently furthering my education in professional counseling.
My area of expertise is in motivating others toward maintaining their own healthy lifestyle. People need knowledge about getting started, require confidence-building and must establish consistency. My basic approach is to partner with clients to identify their health, fitness and training goals and provide them with the tools they need to achieve them. People need the consistent reinforcement that they can do it and they are worth it.
In the personal training arm of ONE Fitness, my clients work through individualized training programs that inspire. My job is more than motivating clients to exercise--it’s also about empowering them to take ownership over a new healthy lifestyle.
For my own personal enjoyment, I like to run, cycle, hike and go to sporting events with my family and friends. I love Montana recreation, so look for my blog reviews and prep tips for fitness activities around the state. I have finished an ultra-marathon and run 8 marathons around the USA. I am an ongoing partner with Billings Clinic in their Sport Specific Training department where I have led and assisted in programs such as Run Strong, Ski Conditioning, and ACL injury prevention camps..
